1. Le Casier

Le Casier is situated in the heart of the old port of St Gilles, close to the main church. With oak flooring and wood panelled walls, they offer a fine selection of mid-priced seafood, locally caught sardines, sole, tuna, mussels, oysters and crab, plus locally grown vegetables and classic Vendéen ham. In the summer evenings, you can sit in the candle lit restaurant or on the small terrace, which over looks a small local artists’ market in the old port.
Open: for lunches and dinner, every day except Monday.

2. La Gare

At Commequiers, this restaurant is set inside the beautiful old railway station hotel. A warm welcome is guaranteed, with mid-range prices. This delightfully decorated restaurant offers French cusine, including frogs legs, delicious snails in garlic along with seafood, grill and brasserie fare.

3. Le St Gilles

Located in the centre of St Gilles quay, you can dine inside the restaurant or on the panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. Enjoy more than 50 reasonably priced traditional dishes including a daily selection of the best seafood, local produce and an enticing wine list. You can also enjoy chocolate, coffee, fine champagne and a selection of old rums…
