11 – 18 September 2017
Growing in popularity every year, the Board Game Week is now a well-established part of the end-of-season programme at Le Pas Opton. With the late summer warmth of Western France, a spacious site and four-star facilities, the Spring Harvest Holidays Board Game Week offers everything a gamer could want. Coordinated bringing of games ensures a great breadth of choice, and you’re never short of friendly people ready to play a game you’ll enjoy.
Join like-minded gamers for a week of socialising, relaxation and light-hearted competition!
Le Pas Opton
Le Pas Opton is our four-star holiday park in Western France. Optional Bible studies and worship run throughout your stay, complemented by activities and entertainments. You’ll discover fantastic facilities at Le Pas Opton, including swimming pool, bar with wifi, takeaway, coffee shop, and more!
Games and Tournaments
From casual gamers, to ‘experts’ – everyone is welcome! Throughout the week there’ll be opportunities to learn new games and to play old favourites. Whether it’s popular games like Ticket to Ride and 7 Wonders, intense games of Agricola or Scythe, classic games of Risk or Cosmic Encounter, or something a bit lighter like Camel Up or Rhino Hero, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to learn and play.
Over the course of the week you can really test your competitive edge, taking part in a number of tournaments – all with a friendly tone! There’ll even be a team tournament of Codenames running throughout the week.

I like games, but I’m not sure about a whole week?
Not many people can play back-to-back games for seven days, so the programme and facilities also include opportunities for swimming, volleyball, boules, table tennis, pool, and trips to the beach, the velorail…in fact, everything that sees guests come to the site year after year for their normal holidays!
What kinds of people will be coming?
This holiday sees all sorts getting involved! Different ages, different backgrounds, guys and girls, hardcore gamers that have played every game from the Boardgamegeek top 100 (see here) and people new to the world of modern board games who just want to have a fun time and meet new people!
What if I don’t have anyone to come with?
We have perfectly good ways for you to come and stay by yourself, or we can connect you with a group for driving over from the UK, and/or staying with others to share cooking etc.
So it’s a Christian site – what if I’m not interested in that?
All aspects of the programme are entirely optional, with no pressure to participate in anything you don’t want to.
