Bienvenue!

If you're travelling alone or without children, this is just the holiday for you. Travel, accommodation and activities have been planned with you in mind.

Make some new friends. See local sights on our escorted excursions. Take in some Bible study and join the worship. Taste the superb local cuisine. Join in the action, laze by the pool or river... or simply soak up the atmosphere of our beautiful holiday park, Le Pas Opton. The Vendée region attracts visitors from all over Europe with its delightful local markets, islands, boating and beaches, historical sites and action sports.

We’re delighted that Chick and Margaret Yuill have agreed to lead the daily Good Morning God! and evening meetings. Their approach is warm and friendly, but also biblical and challenging. Find out more about Chick and Margaret at www.anvilding.com








Chick and Margaret will be joined by Stuart Barbour, who is worship pastor at The Point near Brighton, a church started just a few years ago by Matt Redman and Will Kemp.  Visit Stuart's website www.stuartbarbour.com for a taste of his music.

New friends

At the French Houseparty meet loads of people like you - fun-loving, friendly and free from kids! We ensure plenty of opportunities to mix and make new friends, including coach travel, excursions, evening activities, sports and a daily bring-and-share lunch. The unique adults-only Houseparty environment offers a huge range of options - from activities including archery and boules, to just simply lazing by the pool. And each day you can enjoy an optional morning Bible study and a short time of evening worship. You can always do as much - or as little - as you like.
 

The Hosts

We're delighted that David and Alison Dorricott will again be hosting the French Houseparty. They'll be joined by old friends Pete and Christine Marshall, Terry and Sue Goodwin-Jones, George and Christine Graves plus Anna Davidson and new friend Mel.

Plenty to do

From action sports to gentle relaxation, make your own choice. The provisional programme includes:

• Daily Good Morning God! And evening worship
• Regular coach shuttle to beach, hypermarket and nearby market town St Gilles
• Guided cycle rides and walks
• Swimming and pool games
• Archery
• Boules
• Vineyard tour and wine tasting
• Coach trips to local attractions
• Our chef's gourmet banquet and special meals
• Evening pub quiz, karaoke, and late bar
• Dancing - disco, ceilidh and more
• Within a few miles you'll also find sailing, surfing, shopping, restaurants galore, action sports centres and much more.

Travel options

Coach

Begin your holiday here in England and leave the driving to us. Not only are you choosing a "greener" way to travel, you'll get to know some of your fellow Houseparty guests from the start, and avoid airline luggage restrictions (bringing home a few bottles of wine if you wish!). Your holiday is extended and you enjoy visits en route with overnight ferry crossings.

Our luxury coaches will meet you on Sunday 5 September at a selected UK pickup point. You'll then sail overnight from Portsmouth with the option of an en-suite cabin or a reclining seat, and the chance to eat in style on board if you wish. Monday morning includes a sightseeing stop en route to Le Pas Opton and there's a different tourist highlight on the way home.
 

Fly or fly/drive

Nantes (Ryanair, Air France) and La Rochelle (Ryanair) are the nearest airports, served by various routes from the UK and Eire. Why not book our shuttle collection service?  We may also be able to offer transfers from/to Dinard (Ryanair) or Rennes (Flybe) – but please check with us before booking your flight.
 

Drive yourself

If you book a whole unit of accommodation, a crossing is included. We can also book your ferry crossing if you are sharing accommodation - just contact the Customer Service team.
 

Train

Local train services to nearby Challans connect with the high-speed French TGV network via Nantes to Lille and Paris – cross the platform at Lille, and you’re on the direct Eurostar service from/to London or Ashford.  You can book our transfer service direct to Le Pas Opton from/to Challans station.

Accommodation only

Prices are per person per week. We'll try to arrange for you to share accommodation with friends but can't guarantee allocation. Shared accommodation is separated by gender  - couples wishing to share should book an accommodation unit from the list below.

Accommodation and Channel crossing

These prices include a P & O ferry crossing. See our travel section or main brochure for details.

Deposit payable on booking;
£25 per individual booking. £50 per tent or £100 per mobile home. Please refer to our full terms and conditions.
