Le Pas Opton Golf Week

Come and discover an excellent golfing experience in Western France for a great holiday of fairways, fine dining and fellowship.

Each day there will be a separate competition open to men & women golfers with or without a handicap. You can decide which days you play and all you need to pay are your green fees. We ask all golfers to please donate a prize. Prize giving will be at the golf club following the day’s play.

Tournament Host

Tournament host Jim Long is an established and well respected figure in golf and has organised over 150 tournaments worldwide. Having been a guest at Le Pas Opton for many years, Jim is an expert on the area’s best kept golfing secrets.

The Courses

The Vendée contains some of golf’s hidden gems - offering uncrowded greens and welcoming clubhouses. A combination of golden coastlines and scenic woodland make this area of Western France the perfect setting for a round of 18.

Les Fontenelles

North of Les Sables d’Olonne, this modern course heads through undulating countryside lined with oak trees and maritime pines, past stretches of water which enhance the layout. The course is suitable for players of mixed abilities as it’s free of hidden traps and allows you to concentrate on low scoring rather than threading the needle.

St Jean de Monts

Often described as one of the best courses in Western France, this seaside course offers a game of two halves.  The outward nine skirts the lake then meanders through pine forests back to the clubhouse. The back nine threads its way alongside the ocean through classic links terrain – a challenge for any golfer.
