We are really sorry to share with you the news that the start of the Le Pas Opton 2020 holiday season is delayed until 29 June at the earliest. Prospects for opening in July, August and September are being reviewed regularly and a decision in this regard will be announced in early May.
National policy changes in France and the UK including travel restrictions, lockdown of staff and contractors and bans on gatherings have made it impossible to be sure that the park will be ready to open on May 11th – or that guests will be able to travel to LPO for their holiday.
The challenges created by the Covid-19 crisis are all around us and we appreciate that everyone is feeling their effect. We ask for your patience as we wait for the longer term situation to become clearer. This is why we are promising a further update in early May at which point we hope to offer guests with May and June bookings the chance to take a holiday in July, August or September instead.
We have been reviewing the situation almost daily. The escalations of the past couple of weeks mean that on-site work has temporarily come to a halt and we’ve been forced to take the decision to delay the start of the season.
As you may be aware, just last week Spring Harvest’s Easter events were cancelled. This is truly a challenging time for all of us, not least the head office team who are dealing with a hugely disruptive and unsettling situation. We are deeply grateful to the many people who have supported us in prayer over the last few days and we ask that you continue to hold us in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
