An update on the LPO season

Firstly, all of us at Spring Harvest Holidays would like to thank you for your patience, understanding and prayers during this time. We really do appreciate all of your kind words and support. The Spring Harvest Holidays Board has reluctantly decided that our 2020 season will not go ahead. We are really sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience that this will cause to our guests, both old and new. It’s been a difficult decision for us to make but our latest review of the situation in France and the UK has made it inevitable. The key factors have been: Current[…]

01/06/20 Keeping you informed

An update on your 2020 LPO holiday We are really looking forward to providing great holidays at LPO this summer – but only if it’s safe and legal to do so of course!  Although there are promising signs in France, there’s still an international travel ban and the prospect of 14 day quarantines when you visit and return from France! So nothing can be confirmed yet. We are still planning to open the park from 20th July, providing that travel, quarantine and public health advice supports our decision. Our intention is to deliver programme including groups for children and teens,[…]

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Spring Harvest Holidays day of prayer on Monday! If you weren’t able to join us, you can catch up with the prayer videos here. A message from Steve May-Miller, CEO of Spring Harvest Holidays: ‘It was such an encouragement to me, Dave and all the team that so many people joined our day of prayer on Monday.  Thank you for watching the videos and responding in prayer. Thank you for praying individually through the day. And thank you to everyone who joined our Zoom prayer session at the end of the[…]

Join us for a day of prayer

Before the start of every season, we hold two prayer days for Le Pas Opton: one in France, and one in the UK, to cover all that we do in prayer. We invite our Ambassadors* to these, and they are brilliant times of fellowship. Needless to say, we had to cancel those events this year, but we do now have a great opportunity to bring more people together online than would otherwise be able to gather in person. So, two months ahead of what we hope will be the rescheduled start of the season, we’d like to invite you all[…]

An update on your 2020 LPO holiday

Your 2020 holiday at LPO is really important and we look forward to welcoming you – but only if it’s safe to do so. So we’re watching closely as the Covid-19 situation evolves in the UK and France. Here’s our promised update. We are planning to open the park from 20th July, providing that travel and public health advice from the French and UK Governments supports our decision. Our intention is to deliver the full range of facilities and programme including groups for children and teens, Bible study and worship. The situation continues to develop but we are seeing promising[…]

COVID-19 UPDATE 23 March 2020

We are really sorry to share with you the news that the start of the Le Pas Opton 2020 holiday season is delayed until 29 June at the earliest. Prospects for opening in July, August and September are being reviewed regularly and a decision in this regard will be announced in early May.   National policy changes in France and the UK including travel restrictions, lockdown of staff and contractors and bans on gatherings have made it impossible to be sure that the park will be ready to open on May 11th – or that guests will be able to[…]

COVID-19 UPDATE 19 March 2020

Covid-19 update from Spring Harvest Holidays 19 March 2020   As the crisis situation in France and the UK continues to escalate, we are reviewing the viability of delivering holidays in May and June. We are taking into account the “lockdown” situation in France, travel restrictions and FCO notices which might invalidate our guests’ medical and travel insurance.   Along with many people around the UK and beyond, we continue to pray for an improvement in the situation and hope that changes for the better will come soon.   A full statement about May and June holiday bookings, together with[…]

COVID-19 UPDATE (Tuesday 17 March)

Everyone is aware that responses to Covid-19, the coronavirus, seem to be turning our lives upside down. This is certainly a time for calm, prayer and trust in our awesome God.   We take the situation very seriously. Alongside our colleagues at Spring Harvest and Essential Christian, we are monitoring the situation constantly, listening to advice and directives from the authorities and consulting our own specialist advisors. Here’s a summary of the latest situation and our advice. French Government measures announced 12th March 2020: The French Government has announced a ban on gatherings of more than 100 people and the[…]

The Pinewood Story – Part Three

I really wanted to include some video in this post, but the weather in December, when I last visited LPO, was rather grey so I will spare you the viewing experience. Rather more exciting than the weather, which continues wet and windy as I write, was the sight of nearly all our new Pinewood mobile homes in place around the park. Although there are no steps to the doors, no furniture or soft furnishings in place it was great to see the quality and size of these lovely new accommodation units. I was reminded that the bedrooms all have a[…]

The Pinewood Story – Part Two

Our CEO Steve May-Miller visited LPO last week and was able to view the area we call Le Village –  home to most of our Pinewood mobile homes – with over 30 empty emplacements. The old has gone, but the new has not yet come. Until now, that is. The first batch of our shiny new mobile homes has been delivered. They are being manufactured at the O’Hara factory at Givrand, a large industrial estate on the edge of St Gilles.  They won’t get travel sick en route to LPO – the distance is less than 10km, meaning a lower[…]
