2021 season: delaying the launch

It’s high time that we bring you up to date with our plans for 2021 – though that’s not easy to do!  The global pandemic has disrupted our planning just as it has disrupted, delayed and destroyed so many hopes and dreams in recent months. Both France and the UK are back in lockdown. In France it is strictly enforced: our site team again need to carry special documentation even to travel to work at LPO. Two of them recently tested positive but all should be back at work (or furlough) soon. There’s a further challenge for us in the[…]

An update on the LPO season

Firstly, all of us at Spring Harvest Holidays would like to thank you for your patience, understanding and prayers during this time. We really do appreciate all of your kind words and support. The Spring Harvest Holidays Board has reluctantly decided that our 2020 season will not go ahead. We are really sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience that this will cause to our guests, both old and new. It’s been a difficult decision for us to make but our latest review of the situation in France and the UK has made it inevitable. The key factors have been: Current[…]

01/06/20 Keeping you informed

An update on your 2020 LPO holiday We are really looking forward to providing great holidays at LPO this summer – but only if it’s safe and legal to do so of course!  Although there are promising signs in France, there’s still an international travel ban and the prospect of 14 day quarantines when you visit and return from France! Our intention is to deliver programme including groups for children and teens,[…]

COVID-19 UPDATE (Tuesday 17 March)

Everyone is aware that responses to Covid-19, the coronavirus, seem to be turning our lives upside down. This is certainly a time for calm, prayer and trust in our awesome God.   We take the situation very seriously. Alongside our colleagues at Spring Harvest and Essential Christian, we are monitoring the situation constantly, listening to advice and directives from the authorities and consulting our own specialist advisors. Here’s a summary of the latest situation and our advice. French Government measures announced 12th March 2020: The French Government has announced a ban on gatherings of more than 100 people and the[…]

For me, it’s always an exciting time when we start taking bookings for a new season. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve starting confirming the hundreds of 2017 reservations made by guests during their 2016 holidays. We’ve also spread the word by email, post and social media that “booking lines are open”. The new brochure has a few changes, including more information about the various accommodation options. We’ve made new floor plans for everything from compact tent to the largest villa and you can check out the full range on the accommodation pages of this website. You’ll find that[…]
