21 – 26 May
A time of led retreat and spiritual detox, this slightly shorter week is led by Nigel Cameron and Julie Cameron-Hall of Sounds of Wonder. Supported by the classical musicians from Epiphany, these few days promise a holiday infused with deep refreshment and rediscovery of who you are in Christ, against a backdrop of beautiful music with classical and celtish overtones. This week will be characterised by reflective and contemplative worship and the creation of intentional space to draw closer to God. Expect to go deeper with God as you worship and meditate on his word through music and photography whilst enjoying the beautiful, peaceful setting of Le Pas Opton.
Julie and Nigel will be supported by Epiphany, an ensemble of professional classical musicians led by Richard Williamson. Epiphany believe that music and the arts have the capacity to bring new perspective and to relieve stress in our fast paced world. Using creative improvisation, a wide range of musical styles and classical instruments, Epiphany will help those on retreat experience worship in a new, more intimate way.
Enjoy the music of these talented musicians both in worship and also at their informal evening concert.
During the afternoon sign up for your individual Sound Portrait. This unique experience involves Epiphany playing an improvised piece of music over you that they believe captures your identity. Just as an artist paints a physical portrait that reflects a person’s identity, a Sound Portrait is a piece of sound art that captures the likeness of a person, or an aspect of their identity, through music. Your Sound Portrait is individual to you and a recording can be taken away.
Our brochure prices include a Dover-Calais ferry crossing with your accommodation.
However, on the Epiphany retreat, you can also choose an ‘accommodation only’ solo option. For the cost of a room to yourself in a shared unit of accommodation, see below:
|Room in luxury tent||£95|
