Your 2020 holiday at LPO is really important and we look forward to welcoming you – but only if it’s safe to do so. So we’re watching closely as the Covid-19 situation evolves in the UK and France. Here’s our promised update.
We are planning to open the park from 20th July, providing that travel and public health advice from the French and UK Governments supports our decision. Our intention is to deliver the full range of facilities and programme including groups for children and teens, Bible study and worship.
The situation continues to develop but we are seeing promising signs in France as – from May 11th – travel restrictions are eased, many shops re-open and schools plan a gradual resumption of activity. Further announcements will be made in France at the end of May so we will confirm plans for the season on 1st June.
Providing we are able to go ahead on 20th July, we’ll introduce three measures for your peace of mind:
- A coronavirus guarantee, giving you a full refund or date change if you are forced to cancel your holiday for virus-related reasons1
- Delayed balance payment, so you can hold off making the final payment for your holiday until just four weeks before departure2
- A healthy park plan combining extra hygiene measures, guest guidelines and clear policies to ensure everyone stays safe3
What does this mean for your booking? We’re asking you to bear with us until we confirm our plans on 1st June. We will not collect any payments without your renewed permission.
Guests booked for holidays starting up to 19th July will be given the opportunity to re-book into the period from 20th July onwards or to move their booking to 2021. We are planning some special deals for these guests and will announce these on 1st June.
Guests booked from 20th July to the end of the season can relax. Nothing has changed and we will provide updates about the status of your holiday. We won’t collect balance payments without contacting you first and you’ll benefit from the three measures mentioned above.
Please pray with us! The worldwide church is mobilising in prayer and many other innovative ways. As you pray about this worldwide crisis and the amazing work being done by so many, please include Spring Harvest Holidays, that this summer we will be able to do what we love the most – providing our guests with relaxing, refreshing holidays in a peaceful Christian environment. Watch out for details of an online LPO prayer event in May!

1 Full details of the Coronavirus guarantee will be announced on June 1st.
2 Full details to be announced on June 1st.
3 The healthy park plan will be developed using guidance from French professional bodies and local authorities; we will keep it updated through the season.
